This Duck Bacon BLT / Chicken Club made with: home cured duck breast “Bacon”, oven baked hand pulled-chicken breast, and home baked tomato skin bread made for an excellent meal; especially when served with a cold brew and some homemade potato salad.

With the winter winds whipping around recently, this hearty meal with a malty beer was just the thing to raise household morale. Simple preparation, high satiability, tasty carbohydrate content, and warming nature all make stuffed steak rolls rank highly in the winter comfort food scale. This delectable meal gets even better when paired up with a malty brew to complement the roasted crust on steak’s exterior.
A beer pairing with steamed dumplings is a great way to celebrate Chinese New Year! Making steamed dumplings has become a family favorite tradition over the last few years as a way to welcome the Lunar New Year, and there are always a few changes made to the recipe every year. This natural sweetness provided by the carrots is balanced out with the crisp, hoppy bitterness offered by a strong pale ale or IPA, like this Zombie Dust.

For this “filed trip”, had to stop Front Royal, Virginia to sample some great brews and food at Front Royal Brewing (now known as Vibrissa Beer)!

Met up with some yinzers for this “Field Trip” to the Steel City; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Grabbed some great grub (and some of the giant sandwiches the city has become known for) and a few good pints at Fat Heads Saloon, and marveled at the unconventional location that The Church Brew Works has built inside of while sampling some beers made there.
