This Pennsylvania-Dutch inspired meal went great with Pennsylvania’s own Troegs Beer’s La Grave, a well carbonated, bottle conditioned Belgian Tripel that was able to cut through the rich, flavorful, pressure-cooked chicken stock.
Chicken Soup: homegrown onions, USDA Certified Organic carrots, celery, creamed corn, a crumbled hard boiled egg, homemade whole wheat noodles, and chicken breast, simmered in pressure cooked herbed chicken stock.
Corn Porridge Bread: Coarsely cracked John Copes Dried Sweet Corn porridge folded into the dough and baked into fresh bread.
